Who is behind Photique and how we work

The public name of the editorial entity is Photique Editorial Team. It is the single stable identity used for the team responsible for Photique's method and editorial material.

• Photique is the product that provides photo critiques and Edit or Reshoot variants.
• The service and legal operator is the operator identified on the localized Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages. We do not restate its credentials here.
• Photique Editorial Team is the stable organizational editorial byline. It is not a fictional person and does not replace the identity of the Photique product or its operator.

We do not attach invented biographies, job titles, awards, or professional credentials to the editorial entity.

Photique Editorial Team is responsible for editorial structure, methodology wording, AI-use disclosures, the evidence policy, and published corrections. Individual contributors are not listed here; Photique does not claim personal authority that cannot be publicly substantiated.

A critique focuses on observable properties of the uploaded image. We use six explicit dimensions:

• Idea/Story — how clearly the frame communicates a subject, intention, or event.
• Composition — visual hierarchy, balance, frame edges, and relationships between elements.
• Light/Color — direction and quality of light, tonal relationships, white balance, and color distractions.
• Moment — expression, gesture, phase of movement, and the precision of the selected instant.
• Technique — focus, motion blur, exposure, noise, detail, and limits of the available file.
• Overall — an editorial judgment of how the image works as a whole. It is not a simple average of the other scores: one decisive flaw or a strong idea may affect the result disproportionately.

An Edit or Reshoot recommendation identifies the more plausible next step; it is not a guarantee of quality, editing success, or a successful reshoot. The analysis is limited to the available file and user-supplied context. It cannot verify the circumstances of capture, the original scene, or absent information.

Reference material is given a defined question and scope. Before publication or a material update, we apply an editorial checklist:

• Accuracy — check factual wording and do not present a hypothesis as an established fact.
• Visible limitations — keep material caveats beside the recommendation instead of hiding them in another document.
• Link check — verify the destination and availability of external and internal links.
• RU/EN parity — both locales must communicate the same facts, boundaries, and editorial meaning.
• Internal consistency — the headline, conclusions, body, limitations, and disclosures must not contradict one another.

Material edits preserve the distinction between direct observation, established technique, editorial judgment, and model output.

AI is used to analyze uploaded photographs, prepare recommendations, and generate Edit or Reshoot variants. It may also assist with editorial drafting. Model output is not presented as the personal observation of a named human; Photique Editorial Team remains responsible for the published method and editorial wording.

Photo evaluation necessarily includes subjective judgment. A model can misunderstand the subject, miss a detail, or suggest an unsuitable change. In particular:

• An available JPEG or preview does not reveal the full RAW latitude or reliably predict the source file's recovery limits.
• A single frame does not carry the series context, adjacent takes, or the image's role in a larger project.
• A critique cannot predict audience response, cultural context, or a publishing outcome.
• The conclusion is a reasoned hypothesis, not a final verdict on the photograph or its author.

Photique does not replace the photographer, an art director, a conservator, or another specialist, and it cannot guarantee that a proposed result matches the author's intent.

Observations about a specific photograph should be grounded in visible evidence in that file. Verifiable external claims are separated from editorial judgment and, when material, supported by primary or authoritative sources.
